Movement Matters

I became a personal trainer after I experienced a substantial breakdown in 2015 which opened the door to life with anxiety.

I’d always been active, but this was the first time I started to use movement as more than a calorie burning tool and really realised the importance of it on my overall health.

As I explored the relationship between movement and the mind along with energy, and bone strength and heart health and joint health and capability and connection – I was amazed at the sheer gift that movement was.

💫 I’m still amazed 💫

Becoming a Mum has meant that movement has changed for me through different seasons (totally normal). Although it might look different, it remains something that has lifted me up and helped me feel better, stronger & more capable through all seasons. Not to mention being a consistent tool I still use for anxiety management.

It doesn’t have to be complicated.

💫 Start with something you enjoy and something you will do. 💫 Start with 30 minutes a day (or 3 x 10 minute sessions). 💫 Start with a friend. 💫 Start in your backyard. 💫 Start with something fun. 💫 Start, because movement matters.

👊Start by writing down movement you like and do that this week & let me know what you choose below 👇

Throughout this week @flourishmama_ in collaboration with @bodybeyondbaby will be talking all things women’s health.

I encourage you to put YOU first, book in for a health check, make your health and well-being a priority because good health starts with you.
