Your body is all kinds of amazing, do you agree?

If you asked my girls to complete that sentence, they would both say something like...


"Our bodies are... amazing." "Our bodies are... strong"



If they ask me why I move my body, I give them an honest answer depending on the day...


"Because my body likes to move and movement gives me energy"

"It helps my brain function better and be able to ride the waves of emotions a little easier"

"It helps my muscles become strong so I can do the things I want to do like play & have fun."

"I'm working on my bone strength especially for when I get older" - this one doesn't really land yet 😉

Or simply,

"Because our bodies are amazing"



And when they ask if it has to look a specific way I let them know that ALL movement is great movement, no matter what it looks like. That when they feel like they want to jump and swim and run and throw balls and balance, their body is whispering that it's time to do something it loves. So enjoy it. Don't over think it.


In our little corner if the world, this is what movement/exercise/working out means to us. Pretty simple. As it should be.


I wonder, do you agree? Do you move for the simple fact that your body loves to move, have you remembered recently that your body is all kinds of amazing?
