Is this really the most important thing about us?

We’ve been told over and over that the most important thing about us is what our body looks like

Wild, right!?

Wild to suggest the appearance of someone quantifies their worth, value, impact or meaning because as we know, it doesn’t. Not even close.

Once we realise that no-one actually benefits from such an idea, we get to re-imagine life on our terms.

Imagine a world where we reconnected with: ⋒ how our bodies work for us. ⋒ how we speak to ourselves. ⋒ how much energy we have. ⋒ how healthy & alive we can feel.

I wonder how it would feel if we could view taking care of ourselves a little more holistically like getting sleep, connecting with friends, eating nourishing food & moving because our bodies are made to.

How does it sound to view movement as a way of loving ourselves, as a way to clear our heads, a place to lift our moods, as a wide open space full of possibilities where we can challenge ourselves, take that breath of fresh air we need or simply connect with a friend.

Re-imagining how we see things feels freeing to me. Simply asking ‘what if’ can open up a whole new world and maybe even change it

Please know. I am all for us having beautiful, big, kind goals and those goals may include aesthetic goals – I am for us going all in for our goals

I am also all for us choosing those for ourselves and having the autonomy to decide, from a place of joy, kindness and compassion what those goals will be
